Murder on set, Baldwin defends himself: “Never pulled the trigger”

by admin

Alec Baldwin assured that he “never pulled the trigger” of the gun he accidentally killed director of photography Halyna Hutchins with at this point while filming ‘Rust’ last October. “The trigger was not pulled. I did not pull the trigger.” And when asked why he pointed the gun at the woman and pulled the trigger even though it wasn’t on the script, Baldwin argued, “I would never point a gun at anyone or pull the trigger, ever.”

The screenwriter also accuses Baldwin: “Disregarded rules, like playing Russian roulette”

In the preview of the interview, granted to the ABC television network, the first released since the tragic shooting in October, the actor does not clarify whether the gun fired on its own or describes the incident. He added however that he has no idea how the bullet ended up in the revolver, a Colt 45, which was used on the scene.

“Baldwin had his gun pointed at the camera, he was rehearsing a scene”

“Someone put real ammunition in that gun, a bullet that didn’t even have to be in the studio.” The actor, who was also the film’s producer, barely held back tears when he spoke of Hutchins’ death: “It doesn’t seem real to me.” She was “loved and admired by everyone who worked with her”.
