According to a notice issued by the Myanmar National Management Committee on October 18, local time, 1,316 protesters who had been sentenced to prison were released, and the prosecutions against 4230 protesters were dropped.

On the eve of Myanmar’s traditional festival of Lights (October 19-21), the Myanmar police released 1,316 protesters who had been sentenced to prison in accordance with Article 401 of the Criminal Procedure Law, and withdrew the prosecutions against 4,320 protesters .
