BANGKOK – As expected, hunger will knock more and more on the doors of the prison country in which the coup military has once again locked up the people of Myanmar. The military coup and the rebellion of civil disobedience that caused the regime to lack employees, drivers and doctors have aggravated the financial crisis accentuated by Covid. As a result, at least 3.4 million more people than usual – the poor of the already troubling statistics of the past – will struggle to afford food in the next three or six months.
