New York, the governor admits: deaths from Covid were 12,000 more

by admin

The governor of New York, Kathy Hochul, gives her first slap to her predecessor and admits: in the state the deaths from Covid have been 12,000 more than the count so far considered official. In the state, the deaths from Covid were therefore 55,400 and not the 43,400 certified by Andrew Cuomo on his last day as governor. “Transparency will be the hallmark of my administration,” said Hochul, reporting the new data on deaths, mostly related to more deaths in nursing homes than initially counted.
