ABUJA. Still fear in Nigeria. Gunmen kidnapped an unknown number of students, mostly pupils, after an assault on an institute in the state of Kaduna, in the northwest of the country. The reports Bbc, according to which the assailants attacked the Federal College of Forestry Mechanization in the night, opening fire.
The institute is located near a military academy. According to some sources, dozens of people could be kidnapped during the assault. Parents and relatives of the students gathered this morning near the institute to await news. Since December, the BBC recalls, about 800 students have been kidnapped in various attacks in Nigeria and then released after negotiations.
