PARIS – A New Deal for Africa with the aim of countering China’s offensive on the continent. Emmanuel Macron has convened a “summit of urgency and ambition” to respond to the shock of Covid which risks plunging Africa into an economic and financial crisis with unpredictable consequences also for Europe, from the increase in immigration to the threat of terrorism.
