NSW will receive an additional supply of more than 180,000 Pfizer vaccines | Sydney | Epoch Times

[Epoch Times, August 5, 2021](Epoch Times reporter Tian Rui, Sydney, Australia, compiled a report) NSW will receive more than 180,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine in the next two weeks to increase the vaccination rate in Sydney’s lockdown zone.

Australian Prime Minister Morrison said that the additional vaccine supply in NSW will not take up the resources of other states. “I will always work closely with the governors of the states to ensure that Australians are protected when they need it.”

183,690 vaccines will be delivered in two batches on August 9 and 16, of which 20,000 doses will be sent to remote areas. Previously, the government had transferred a batch of vaccines from remote areas in order to get the 12th grade students vaccinated as soon as possible.

Morrison said that most of the vaccine will be sent to Sydney’s southwest, and others will make up for the gap left by the remote vaccine transfer.

The NSW Department of Health stated in its August 5 outbreak report that in the past 24 hours, people in NSW had received a total of 25,196 doses of COVID-19 (Chinese Communist virus) vaccine, and the number of vaccinations so far has reached 4.137 million.

The NSW lockdown order will expire on August 28. The Governor of NSW hopes that the number of vaccinations will reach 6 million by the 28th. ◇
