On Monday, the London Police said in a statement: “In view of the seriousness of the allegations and the incident that took place in Medway-Sydenham Hall, the London Police Department has launched an investigation and we will cooperate with West University. To identify the victims and provide assistance to ensure a thorough investigation.”

The police said they received four reports last week stating that sexual assaults had occurred elsewhere on the university’s campus. These 4 incidents are still under investigation. The police said it will also investigate potential links with unreported sexual assaults.

Chris Alleyne, the vice-principal of dormitories and ancillary services at Western University in Ontario, issued a statement on Monday that the school is collecting more information on allegations of sexual assault. He said that in the past week, four formal allegations of sexual violence have been received, but these cases appear to be unrelated.

The statement said: “We are very disturbed by the events reported on social media last weekend. We are working hard to clarify and confirm these reports. As of now, we have received very little information related to these reports. We request any insider to contact London. Report from the police station.”

Allaine said that in four cases of sexual assault, West University took action immediately after receiving the report. He said: “Sexual violence will not be tolerated at West University. We will continue to take action on every disclosure and complaint.”

Last Saturday, the Medway-Sidnham dormitory administrator sent a letter to the students stating that the school is following up the investigation.

The University of Western Ontario has increased visitor registration, security and consultation on Sunday, and has provided many resources for any student who needs support due to sexual violence.

There have been incidents of sexual assault, as well as dozens of rumors of sexual assault in female dormitories, which have made the students who just started school feel scared and worried.

A first-year girl was attacked and killed

A first-year girl at Western University in Ontario was injured and died after being attacked early on Saturday morning. This case put the school in a difficult position.

According to the Globe and Mail, 18-year-old Gabriel Neil was attacked near the campus of Western University in the early hours of last Saturday morning and died in the hospital on Sunday. A 21-year-old man was charged with manslaughter. West University stated that this person is not a student of the school. On Monday, a spokesperson for the London police said that the attack had nothing to do with the allegations of sexual assault in the campus dormitory this weekend.
