KIEV – The Russians are five kilometers from the outskirts of Kiev. They are approaching from the northwest. Slowly, meter after meter, with dramatic losses of men and means but gaining ground. With aviation and heavy artillery they are razing the two small twin towns of Bucha and Irpin, separated by a stream. In Bucha there are the tanks sent from Moscow, the terrible Bmd-4M, which are the most modern in their arsenal and the most flexible for urban combat.
