The refinery is affiliated to Indonesia’s National Petroleum Corporation. Indonesian media reported that the fire occurred in an oil storage tank. The plant has 228 oil storage tanks.

Eddie said that this is the third fire in the refinery owned by Indonesia’s Petroleum Corporation this year.
