[Epoch Times August 17, 2021](Epoch Times reporter Lin Zirong reported) On August 15, after the Taliban militants made a strategy for the Afghan capital Kabul, the United States, Germany and many other countries accelerated the evacuation of their diplomats and citizens there. Many Afghan people were also eager to flee and gathered at the airport.

The United States began to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan on May 1, and the Taliban controlled many administrative regions of Afghanistan in a short period of time. On August 15, they entered the capital Kabul and occupied the presidential palace. The President of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani, has also left Afghanistan.

As can be seen from the picture below, on August 15th, Taliban militants have seized many armed vehicles that originally belonged to the Afghan National Army (ANA). After the Taliban militants entered the capital, hundreds of employees of the US Embassy in Kabul have been evacuated from Afghanistan.

On August 16, Germany also stepped up to evacuate German citizens and local staff from Kabul. An Airbus A400 transport plane took off from the German Wunstorf Air Force Base. The local airport in Kabul was crowded with many people. They wanted to escape the control of the Taliban. Many people even climbed to the top of the plane to wait.
