Poland, Parliament rejects the law that criminalizes abortion

BERLIN – After days of street protests and international outrage, the Polish Parliament has quashed the proposal to criminalize abortion. The law that would have introduced 25 years in prison for abortions and 5 years for miscarriages was also rejected by a part of the Pis, the ruling Law and Justice party.
