MOSCOW – Vladimir Putin e Xi Jinping they have returned to relaunch the Moscow-Beijing axis, celebrating the ever stronger ties between their countries against the backdrop of tensions with the West and announcing to the world the extension of the Sino-Russian Treaty of good neighborhood, friendship and cooperation.
A couple of weeks after the Putin-Biden summit and its timid reopening of the dialogue between the Kremlin and the White House, and a few days after the rejection of the Franco-German proposal for a summit between Russia and the EU, Putin exalted relations with China stating that they have reached “an unprecedented level” and that they now represent “a model of interstate cooperation in the 21st century”.
