Rare variant in France, 50 cases in Bordeaux of a more contagious form

PARIS. The variant panic infects France, which is struggling to find a return to normalcy. A few days after the celebrations for the reopening of bars, restaurants and cultural venues, a mutation of the British variant – now the majority throughout the country – that is circulating in the Bacalan district of Bordeaux is worrying. For now the cases are contained: about fifty registered by the local ASL compared to 8 thousand inhabitants of the area.
