Regeni, Conte’s report: “So Al Sisi betrayed his promises”

“We tried to explain to Egypt and President Al Sisi how important the Regeni question and the election of the domicile of the four suspects was. President Al Sisi assured me of his commitment but I do not know it had any effect”. Among the documents filed yesterday by the deputy prosecutor Sergio Colaiocco at the Court that will have to decide on the alleged killers of Giulio Regeni, there is one particularly important: it is the minutes of the former premier Giuseppe Conte who tells how at least on four occasions he urged cooperation but Sisi’s Egypt without luck.
