Renault, managers of the Brittany Foundry blocked at the site by employees

by admin

The managers of the Brittany Foundry located in Caudan, in the north-west of France, are currently locked inside the plant by a hundred employees who are asking to keep the company in the Renault group. “Five people in the management are inside, they won’t come out until we get an answer,” said Mael Le Goff, from the union of the General Conference of Labor (CGT). The factory employs a total of 350 people.

On 11 March, Renault announced the sale of the Brittany foundries, while yesterday, 26 April, the government announced aid of 50 million euros to accompany the reconversion of employees.
