[Andara News Agency]A new variant of the Delta strain of Coronary Pneumonia, which was first discovered in India in December 2020, is currently spreading globally and has aroused global vigilance. Delta virus spreads quickly, 43% to 90% higher than other new coronavirus strains; for example, if a person is infected with other viruses, he will infect 2 to 3 people on average, but people infected with Delta virus can affect 6 To 8 people. Delta mutant strains have now appeared in at least 104 countries and regions, including Indonesia.
In response to the increasingly rampant domestic new crown pneumonia epidemic, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said in a working meeting with the Congressional Budget Committee on Monday (July 12) that he would refocus and redistribute 26 trillion yuan. Shield’s department and agency (K/L) budgets, and 5 trillion dongs are allocated as the local and village fund (TKDD), so a total of 31 trillion dongs to respond to the new crown pneumonia pandemic.
Siri said that due to the serious threat of the violent new mutant coronavirus delta virus, the government must concentrate more on the third phase of refocusing and redistributing the budget.
It explained that the government had previously re-adjusted and redistributed the first phase, namely, the department and agency (K/L) expenditure in February 2021 was 59.1 trillion rupiah and the local and village fund (TKDD) 15 trillion rupiah.
Then, according to PP government regulation No. 63 of 2021, the holiday subsidy (THR) and the 13th month salary in the K/L expenditure will be adjusted and budgeted in the second stage, totaling 12.1 trillion rupiah.
“At that time, the government was also severely criticized because the government used 2.1 trillion dongs to deal with the new crown pneumonia epidemic. However, the people really need this money as a holiday allowance.” Sai Li said.
Finance Minister Siri went on to say that the government has also set aside 50.1 trillion dongs for local and village funds (TKDD) to strengthen the regional response to pandemic diseases, such as speeding up vaccination and implementing emergency restrictions on community activities (PPKM) measures.
