Two tennis stars Aryna Sabalenka and Jelena Rybakina confirmed no weak point on the French Open and reached the quarter-finals. No. 2 Belarusian Sabalenka beat Emma Navarro from the USA 6:2, 6:3. Former Wimbledon winner Rybakina from Kazakhstan defeated Jelina Svitolina from Ukraine 6:4, 6:3.

In the semi-finals there might be a direct duel between Sabalenka and Rybakina. But the two-time Grand Slam champions nonetheless have to beat their hurdles within the quarter-finals.

Rybakina meets Italian Jasmine Paolini, who stopped unbeaten Elina Avanesjan of Russia 4:6, 6:0, 6:1. Sabalenka will now face Mirra Andrejewa of Russia. The 17-year-old participant gained 7:5, 6:2 over France’s Varvara Gracheva.
