07 February 2024, 8.00 pm

Everything is ready for Bob Sinclar’s Sanremo show, expected on board the Costa Crociere. The French DJ will in fact perform this evening on board the ship moored off the coast of Sanremo. Let’s find out more about the artist

BOB SINCLAR, WHO IS THE DJ AT SANREMO 2024

He made his debut very young, at just 18 years old. But then – it was 1987 – it wasn’t Bob Sinclar, but Chris The French Kiss, a name that would accompany him for the first years of his career. The new pseudonym will come from Bob Saint-Clair, character in the film “How to destroy the reputation of the greatest secret agent in the world”, played by Jean-Paul Belmondo: this was how Bob Sinclar was born. Worldwide fame arrived at the beginning of the 2000s, thanks to the hits “Love Generation” and “World, Hold On”, respectively from 2005 and 2006, theme songs for the cinepanettoni Natale a Miami and Natale a New York. The two singles earned him the World Music Award for best DJ in the world. In 2011, the successful remix of “A far l’amore begins tu” by Raffaella Carrà, which entered the charts of the most downloaded singles that year. Among his latest successes is the remix, released last year, of “Ti felt”, feat Antonella Ruggiero, a 1985 hit by Matia Bazar. This evening he will take part in the 74th edition of the Sanremo Festival with a performance on board the Costa Crociere.

BOB SINCLAR, PRIVATE LIFE

After 20 years of marriage with the former model Ingrid Aleman, the now ex-wife asked for a divorce accusing her husband of being “too boring”: “Bob goes to bed early, he refuses social outings, his life is really too boring . I really want to have fun.” A lifestyle that the DJ has never made a secret of: “I’m not someone who goes to clubs, I’m an artist passionate about what he does. I’m a boring man,” he said in an interview.
