Based on the match report on the official Serie A website, Maurizio Sarri’s team won thanks to two goals in the second half, after both teams played at a slow tempo and did not score in the first half.

Luis Alberto was the architect of Lazio’s first goal from Matteo Guendouzi’s feet after continuing Ciro Immobile’s breakthrough pass. Guendouzi, who was standing freely at the goal mouth, easily beat Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic.

Guendouzi played an important role in Lazio’s second goal when Luis Alberto managed to use his pass to send the ball into Torino’s goal. The ball was immediately struck by Danilo Cataldi for Lazio’s 2-0 lead.

Lazio were forced to play with 10 men when Mario Gila received a second yellow card after fouling Duvan Zapata near the penalty box line.

However, Torino was unable to exploit their advantage in the number of players to catch up, so the score of 2-0 for Lazio’s victory lasted until the match ended.

In the next match, Torino, who is ranked 11th, will visit AS Roma headquarters, while Lazio will visit Fiorentina at the Artemio Franchi Stadium.
