Serbia, 500 Vietnamese enslaved in the Chinese factory-lager

BERLIN – Zrenjanin, Serbia. There, a step away from Italy, 500 Vietnamese workers live and work as slaves and sleep in lager shacks in a tire factory in Linglong, a Chinese giant. Nine hours a day at bestial rates, starvation wages in cash, no union rights, 2 toilets for 500 people, no heating or hot water in the shacks guarded by private company guards, dismissal if you protest, a month of meager wages withheld if you get sick and miss one of the 26 monthly working days at 9 hours a day, the wages of one day if you arrive late.
