Graz/Klagenfurt – After the early summer weather with temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius, a cold front is currently moving across Austria. Snowfall caused problems on Tuesday morning, particularly in the south of Austria. There have been a number of power outages in southwest Styria. In the morning, around 100 transformer stations and 3,400 households were affected, as Energie Steiermark announced. The region southwest of Leibnitz was particularly affected. Urs Harnik-Lauris, spokesman for Energie Steiermark, said additional mechanics from Graz and Eastern Styria were requested for the repair work. In the afternoon it was said that the supply had largely been restored.
