CAIRO (EGYPT) (ITALPRESS) – The Egyptian authorities have confirmed that the container ship Ever Given has managed to return completely to the surface after blocking the canal and international maritime trade for several days. Suez Canal service provider Leth Agencies confirmed that the mega-ship is currently sailing north in the direction of the Bitter Lakes that lie along the canal. The presidential advisor of the SCA authority, Mohab Mamish, in addition to expressing satisfaction with the success of the operation, said that work will be doubled to allow waiting ships to cross the canal after a week of closure. So far there are 321 ships waiting to enter the canal. Ever Given will be thoroughly examined to verify that it is solid and able to navigate independently. The Egyptian president Al Sisi also intervened on the positive solution: “The Egyptians have put an end to the crisis of the stranded ship despite the enormous technical complexity of the operations. And with the success of the Egyptians in bringing everything back to normal in the Suez Canal, the world he must be certain of the safety of the path of his goods through this vital navigation artery “. The president thanked all the Egyptians engaged in efforts to bring the ship to the surface, describing them as “loyal workers” who have always been “responsible”.
