Taleban warns the US: “Stop drones in Afghanistan or there will be consequences”

The Taliban have warned the United States that there will be “negative consequences” if they do not put an end to drone operations in Afghanistan. In a note, taken up by Al Jazeera, the movement of Koranic students stressed that the drone operations by the US “have violated international law as well as the commitments made with the Taliban in Doha”.

“We urge all countries, especially the US, to treat Afghanistan in line with international law and the commitments made to prevent negative consequences.”
