Druzkivka (Donetsk) – It is probably the last hours of Severodonetsk before the complete conquest by the Russian troops. “The situation is very complicated,” admits Sergiy Gaidai, governor of the Lugansk region. “75 percent of the city is lost, the Russians cannot advance freely because there are Ukrainian fighters left. The enemy is attacking with mortars and artillery along the front line.”

As it turns out, there are still 10,000 civilians in Severodonetsk and another 5,000 are in the villages just outside the suburbs. The evacuations were interrupted after the death two days ago of the French journalist of Bfm-Tv. As if the bombs weren’t enough, a chemical factory’s nitric acid tank has been destroyed by Russian artillery and its toxic fumes are spreading through the air. “Nitric acid is dangerous if inhaled, ingested and if it comes into contact with the skin”, the Ukrainian authorities warn. “Complete cleaning of the city completed”, exults the pro-Chechen leader Kadyrov whose men appear in a video shot in front of the concert hall in the city center.
To take the Donbass, Moscow attacks the countries

The conquest of Severodonetsk and the twin city of Lysychansk, on the western bank of the Seversky Donek River, would allow Moscow to take over the entire Lugansk region, one of the two in the Donbass that partially fell to the separatists in 2014. According to Ukrainian intelligence, Putin’s plan is to occupy the entire Donbass by 1 July. This would be the order given by the head of the Kremlin to his generals. “We are not interested in Russian plans”, is the response of President Zelensky. The Kiev leader does not hide the difficulties and, once again, returns to ask the West for more missile launchers and more 155 mm guns.
