The courage of Afghan women in the square: “The world has betrayed us, but we resist”

ROMA – Zara, Neda, Maryam: the women of Kabul protect themselves with fake names, they escape the photos and if they agree to be filmed they do it by covering at least part of their face with masks. They are activists, rights fighters who fled Afghanistan thanks to Pangea, the association that has been working in the country for twenty years to support its social and civil development and that in the days of chaos at the Kabul airport helped them to get out by distinguishing them in the crowd with a P drawn on their hand.
