The “cousins” of Covid-19, in Laos a reservoir of viruses potentially dangerous for mankind

The search for the origins of Sars-CoV-12 continues. Researchers from the Pasteur Institute operating in Paris and Laos, together with those from the University of Laos, have discovered new coronaviruses very similar to Sars-CoV-2. Pending publication, they shared their findings, made thanks to samples taken from several hundred bats in northern Laos, not far from the border with China, on the Research Square website.
