The dictators have thrown the mask, which is why the Belarusian revolution has failed

What conclusions can be drawn from the failure of democratic forces in Belarus and, more recently, in Russia? Citizens are losing faith in the possibility of victory of “color revolutions”. All over the world, the autocratic front has strengthened and dictators are now openly resorting to violence by oppressing the societies they control.

Almost a year ago I wrote that Alexander Lukashenko would not be able to win the presidential elections which he himself had called for August 9th.
