BRUSSELS – The index on gender equality in Europe is growing little. In the research published by Eige (The European Institute for Gender Equality) the EU average figure rises to 68 points out of 100, only 0.6 points more than last year. And Italy remains below the continental average with an index of 63.8. Sweden tops the table with 83.9, second is Denmark with 77.8, and last is Greece with 52.5.
