This is Sohan’s 16th attempt to obtain parole and the first time that a state attorney has not opposed him on parole. Sohan’s parole was also supported by Robert’s two sons, but Robert’s other children expressed strong opposition.
Sohan said that he had “almost no memory” of the assassination process itself, but admitted that he took the gun into the hotel where the incident occurred and opened fire.
