[Epoch Times November 25, 2021](Epoch Times reporter Zhining Xu comprehensive report) New Jersey Teachers Union-New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) announced in Wisconsin State Court that Kyle Rittenhouse ( Kyle Rittenhouse) issued a written statement after his innocence, saying that he was frustrated with the verdict and was criticized on social media.

American jurors announced on Friday (November 19) that the 18-year-old Rittenhouse was not guilty of all charges in the gun murder case.

This lawsuit originated from the “Black Life Gui” protest riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin in August last year. Due to arson, looting and vandalism by protesters, local people also spontaneously armed themselves to defend the community. Rittenhouse, a former YMCA lifeguard, drove 30 miles to Kenosha that day.

At the time of the incident, Rittenhouse was chased and beaten by protesters in the parking lot. When someone rushed towards him and tried to snatch his rifle, he shot the opponent. When he was about to approach law enforcement officers for help, he was chased by several people and kicked to the ground. One shot him on the head with a skateboard, and he shot him. Later, when another person pointed a pistol at him, he shot the opponent’s arm. Finally, he raised his hands and walked to the police car to surrender. However, the police did not arrest him, but told him to leave, and the police car then drove away from the scene. The next day, Rittenhouse was arrested at his home in Illinois. He was charged with six criminal charges and shot three men with a gun, resulting in 2 deaths and 1 injury.

The defense lawyer and Rittenhouse said that the three shootings were in self-defense. But the prosecutor said that Rittenhouse should surrender to his attackers and was negligent and reckless in using firearms.

In a statement issued on Friday, NJEA said: “Today, we are as frustrated as everyone who sees our judicial system broken.” “But more importantly, today we are with all those who do not distinguish between race, religion and belief. Like those who are determined to achieve true equality, freedom and justice, they understand more clearly that our country still has a long way to go.”

As of Tuesday morning, NJEA’s announcement on Facebook has received more than 840 comments, 223 “angry” emoticons, 134 “laughing” emoticons, 65 likes, 15 likes, 13 “surprised” and 5 One “sorrow”, and five concerns.

Sean Spiller, Chairman of NJEA and Mayor of Montclair, shared NJEA’s statement on his personal Twitter account, which was pushed to NJEA’s account. Another Twitter user responded by saying: “Should you use your personal account to make such a statement? Or does this represent all members? What if one member thinks the judicial system is effective? Even if you disagree In my opinion, this is intimidating those people.”

The conservative grassroots organization Arise NJ responded in writing on Twitter: “We call on all Board of Education and teachers to publicly request NJEA to withdraw their comments on Wisconsin’s legal decisions. Their platform cannot be used. Political partisanship.”
