“The Office” actor Ewen MacIntosh has died

The British star turned 50 years old.

The JustRight management confirms the death, reports Sky News.

The management refers to the late actor as “a genius in comedy”.

No cause of death has been given, but it is stated that he “died peacefully”, and that the family is grateful for all the support.

MacIntosh is best known from the role of Keith in Ricky Gervais’ “The Office” through 14 episodes from 2001 to 2003.

«Extremely sad. The very funny and very lovable Ewen MacIntosh has passed away», writes Gervais (62) on X/Twitter.

«A true original», he adds and rounds off with «RIP».

MacIntosh has also been seen in Gervais’ “After Life”, as well as the TV series “Ostkantfolk”.

The 50-year-old’s last role was in last year’s film “Nightmare on 34th Street”.

Ed Scott, CEO of Digital Audio Broadcasting, was a close friend of MacIntosh. He writes on X that he is heartbroken:

«His face was familiar to millions as Keith from ‘The Office’, but I would most like to remember the person inside», writes Scott.

«Ewen was so full of empathy, kindness and integrity, and above all a truly good man. I send love to his parents Sara and Ewen Sr, his brother Colin and the rest of his family, as well as his many friends and fans», the friend writes further.

On IMDB Even MacIntosh is listed with 79 projects since the start of his career in 2003. “Little Britain” is among his credits.

According to the website, the deceased also had two new projects underway, including a TV film entitled “For the Love of Emma”.
