A couple of retired teachers in Shanghai traveled by car in Gansu, Inner Mongolia and other places a few days ago, and they were diagnosed in Xi’an, Shaanxi. Currently, a total of 7 people traveling with the two have contracted the epidemic, and many provinces they passed through have been sealed off.
On October 18, the Shaanxi Provincial Health Commission website reported that from 0:00 on the 17th to 7:00 on the 18th, there were 6 newly confirmed cases in Shaanxi and 1 asymptomatic infection. Seven people are traveling together, and their activity tracks are similar. Among them are Jiang and Yan, retired teachers and couples in Shanghai.
According to a CCTV report on the 17th, Jiang, Yan and others took a plane to transfer in Xi’an on the 9th, then transferred to Zhangye City, and then traveled by car in Gansu and Inner Mongolia.
On the 15th, Jiang and Yan tested abnormal results at Jiayuguan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Gansu. The next day, the two took a taxi to Xi’an and the nucleic acid test results were positive. The Xi’an Tanglong International Hotel, where the two are staying, is temporarily closed, and all staff and guests must be quarantined.

Jiayuguan City, Gansu Province notified the early morning on the 18th that the Shanghai couple was suspiciously positive at Jiayuguan. When the re-examination was notified, the two had arrived in Xi’an and announced their activity track investigation.

The Xi’an CDC requires personnel who have an intersection with the Shanghai couple and other 7 people to actively report, and the Yinchuan area of Ningxia has suspended large-scale offline events.
