The rise in the price of gas inflames Kazakhstan: violent protests and clashes, the municipal office in Almaty attacked

The “gas revolt” has set Kazakhstan on fire. The Almaty municipality building stormed by demonstrators, flames raising columns of black smoke on the right side of the building, police officers throwing stun grenades, while witnesses speak of assaulted cars and clashes. And yesterday in the main city of the former Soviet republic the security forces used tear gas against the crowd, over 5,000, according to some reporters on the spot.
