[Epoch Times August 10, 2021](Epoch Times reporter Li Jia comprehensive report) According to a memo issued by the US Department of Defense on Monday (August 9), the Pentagon will require all military personnel to be vaccinated by the CCP before September 15 Pneumonia (COVID-19) vaccine.

Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin stated in this memo to all departments of the Department of Defense that all members of the U.S. military must be vaccinated before September 15.

Austin wrote that he would seek the president’s approval to force the entire army to be vaccinated by mid-September at the latest; maybe even earlier, that is, as soon as the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) finally approves it. Subject to the first approval.

Austin added that Pentagon officials will also pay close attention to the infection rate. Currently, the infection rate in the United States is rising due to the highly contagious Delta variant. In view of the current situation, “If I feel it is necessary, I will not hesitate to act faster or suggest a different plan to the President. To defend this country, we need a healthy, ready-to-call force.”

Soon after the memo was released, President Biden issued a statement saying that he “strongly supported” this move. He said: “Minister Austin and I have an unshakable commitment to ensure that our troops have all the tools they need to complete their tasks as safely as possible.”

The Pfizer vaccine is expected to be approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in early September. If it is not approved by then, Austin can seek an exemption from the president to require the military to be vaccinated.
