The United States passes new sanctions against Iran for violating human rights

The United States has passed further sanctions against Iran for “grave human rights violations”. This was announced by the US Treasury Department, which has included new names of individuals and entities in the blacklist of those sanctioned.

The new measures affect a total of 15 individuals and four entities in Iran, Syria and Uganda.
