Timmermans: “The costs of the Green Deal lower than the climate deadlock”

BRUSSELS – Mr Timmermans, at the EU summit last week the Hungarian prime minister called for a “complete review” of the European Green Deal, in consideration of high energy prices. Perhaps he is afraid of asking too much of people. Do you share the concern?
“No, if we don’t act, people will be asked a lot more. And who will then be the victims? The weakest, who cannot move elsewhere.
