Jakarta (ANTARA) – Tottenham Hotspur coach Ange Postecoglou admitted that his team will most likely not bring in any more players before the end of the winter transfer market.

Postecoglou is one of the coaches who is quite active in recruiting players in the latest transfer market. He has brought Romanian defender Radu Dragusin and German striker Timo Werner to Spurs.

Apart from that, Tottenham are still being linked with Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher and Brugge winger Antonio Nusa. However, Postecoglou gave a signal that his club had finished its activities in the transfer market.

“I didn’t see any players coming in. For players who are out, it’s a little different because I’m not fully involved. Other people do things around that,” said Postecoglou as quoted by AFP, ahead of the Premier League match against Brentford which will be played on Wednesday.

“I enjoy working with (Technical Director) Johan (Lange) and his team. “I am confident that heading into the summer, we will be in a good position to ensure we are again looking to maximize the benefits from us being able to form a stronger squad and team for the challenges ahead,” he added.

Tottenham, who have just been eliminated by Manchester City from the fourth round of the FA Cup, will try to recover against Brentford.

If Spurs fail to win the trophy again this year, then in total they will have gone through a title drought of 17 years.

“It’s disappointing that we were knocked out of both cup competitions, especially not being involved in European competitions, because of course our fans really want to taste success at this football club,” said Postecoglou.

“This is about us growing as a team and finishing the second half of the season better than the first (half). If we do, we will be in a great position to continue to challenge and push this team. That’s our focus,” he concluded.
