With victory, Spurs could take over fourth place from Aston Villa by one point. After a lackluster showing, they instead remain two points behind, while Manchester United are chasing six points adrift in sixth place.

Tottenham kept most of the ball in the match, but it was Fulham who scored best in front of goal. Rodrigo Muniz was the big player of the match with his two goals.

The first of those came in the 42nd minute when Antonee Robinson found him with an early cross. The striker used one touch to set the ball up before he wide-sided in 1-0 past a chanceless Guglielmo Vicario.

Shortly after the change of sides, Sasa Lukic doubled the lead for the hosts. Fulham played nicely through the Spurs defence, and Timothy Castagne found Lukic in the box, who tricked in the 2-0 goal with his thigh.

Spurs were chasing a reduction, but instead it slammed once again at the other end of the pitch. In the aftermath of a corner, Muniz grabbed his second of the night to make it 3-0 in front of an ecstatic home crowd.

Spurs continued their search for a reduction, and Timo Werner had a great opportunity just over 20 minutes before full time, but once again the ball ended up on the wrong side of the post for the German.

The result means that Fulham remain in 12th place in the league. It is still even in the middle of the table in the Premier League. Seventh-placed West Ham have just five points more than the London side.
