The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, speaks at the press conference ahead of the G20 summit and the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP26). “The European Union will produce 3.5 billion doses of the Covid vaccine in 2022 and a large part of these will be destined abroad,” he says. And the goal is to stem and defeat the pandemic. Von der Leyen recalled that “the EU has kept its promise to export half of the doses abroad”.

One billion for forests around the world

The EU will put in a billion euros for the protection of forests in the world. This was announced by the president of the EU Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, at the press conference on the G20 and the COP26 summit. “Forests are essential, they must be protected,” he stressed.
