TEL AVIV (ISRAEL) (ITALPRESS) – Dramatic incident in Israel during a religious gathering. At least 44 people were trampled to death and 150 were injured during the night, after a rite attended by over 50,000 ultra-Orthodox Jews to celebrate the Lag B’Omer festival on Mount Meron, in Upper Galilee. Among the victims there are also children. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks of a “terrible disaster”. The causes of the accident are not yet clear.
