Ukraine hit the metallurgical plant in Lipetsk during a massive drone attack on Russia on the night between Friday and Saturday!

A large explosion resounded shortly after midnight, after which flames engulfed the metallurgical plant. Locals of Lipeck state that four drones were spotted in the sky, while columns of smoke can be seen rising above the combine.

The governor of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov, announced that one workshop was on fire and that there was no danger of hazardous materials being released.

The fire was extinguished and no one was injured – Artamonov wrote on his Telegram channel and added that it is being checked whether the fire was caused by the fall of the drone.

The Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant (NLMK) is one of the four largest steel plants in Russia and is located approximately 350 kilometers northeast of the Ukrainian border.

According to eyewitnesses, the drone hit the sintering workshop.

This could complicate the work of the factory for at least a month – reports the channel of the CPC OGPU.

The Ministry of Defense of Russia announced that during the past night, air defense was also active over the Kursk and Tula regions.

Air defense shot down three Ukrainian drones over the Tula region. There was no destruction and no casualties. Air defense units of the Russian Ministry of Defense continue combat duty – the message states, adding that the first two drones in the sky over the Tula region were shot down shortly after midnight.

On Friday, let us remind you, Russia was also left without an A-50 reconnaissance aircraft, and the circumstances that led to the crash of the aircraft are not yet clear.
