UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres is working on a four-party meeting between Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and the United Nations to set up a “contact group” to allow the resumption of the export of agricultural products and fertilizers from Kiev and Moscow. The aim is an agreement to avoid the world food crisis, which would affect the most vulnerable regions of Africa and the Middle East, but if the mechanism works it could become the embryo of a ceasefire agreement, given that the Kremlin does not now excludes a conversation between Putin and Zelensky.
