A large number of US Marines are choosing not to receive the Covid vaccine. This is almost forty percent of the military body: the members of the American army who have received at least one dose are 75,500, compared to about 48,000 who refused. The key to tackling the pandemic is building trust in vaccines ”. Also adding possible reasons for refusal: they may prefer others to receive vaccine priority, or they are choosing to wait until it is institutionally mandatory. They may also be allergic or have already secured a vaccine through other channels, according to the spokesperson: “And service members who refuse can one day change their mind and get vaccinated when the next opportunity arises,” Frushour added. An attitude that goes against the trend compared to a few months ago, when the military’s acceptance rate for the vaccine was higher than that of the general population.
