US, shooting in a parking lot in Indianapolis, at least 8 dead and many injured. Witness: “He shot a man with an automatic rifle”

Several people were injured in a shooting that took place in the forecourt of a Fedex plant near the Indianapolis airport, in the state of Indiana, in the United States. At least eight people have died according to the New York Times.

A witness reported seeing a man armed with an automatic rifle firing at people in the parking area.

The shooter, according to the Indianapolis Star newspaper, committed suicide. The Indianapolis Fedex plant is one of the largest in America and employs approximately 4,500 people.
