NEW YORK – Squeeze on abortion in Arizona. Governor Doug Ducey signed into law the provision that prohibits abortions on the basis of genetic abnormalities, such as Down syndrome.
“There is value in every life, regardless of genetics. We will continue to give priority to the life of those who are not yet born – says Ducey -. This law protects human lives”.
The new law provides for prison for those who carry out abortions, prohibits the mailing of medicines to induce abortion and requires that the fetuses be buried or cremated.
