Usa, police kill black in Minneapolis: new protests

MINNEAPOLIS – The police shot and killed Daunte Wright, a 20-year-old African American, in a suburb of the city, Brooklyn Center, and the incident sparked new protests against the police, just as the trial against the police is underway in the city. ‘agent Derek Chauvin accused of killing George Floyd last May.

According to the Brooklyn Center Police, the incident took place yesterday afternoon just before 2pm local time, when an officer stopped a car for traffic violations. Police claimed that the driver of the vehicle was getting back into the car while the policeman tried to arrest him and at which point one of the officers present opened fire. The Guardian writes it.
Yesterday evening hundreds of demonstrators took to the streets and marched to the headquarters of the local police department where there were officers in anti
riot which also used tear gas against the crowd. There were moments of tension and scntri that lasted until about 11 pm local time.
