BRUSSELS (BELGIUM) (ITALPRESS) – The European Commission has initiated legal action against AstraZeneca. The confirmation comes from the spokesperson for health and food safety, Stefan De Keersmaecker. The company would not comply with “the terms of the contract” signed under the advanced purchase agreement. In particular, AstraZeneca would not have provided “viable solutions” to ensure timely delivery of the promised doses. “What interests us is that there is a fast delivery for a sufficient number of doses”, says the spokesman, doses that “are by right of European citizens and which are due to us according to the contract”. De Keersmaecker concludes by reassuring journalists that the Commission has taken legal action with the consent of all 27 Member States. (ITALPRESS). alp / sat / red 26-Apr-21 18:03
