Munlet is back with “Munlet Plays Devo” (Family Spree Recordings), his return to the musical arena seven years after his previous album. As they point out, the project was born before the pandemic, after the band’s participation in several Izar & Star cycles promoted by Javier Corral “Jerry” Jerry Corral. The pandemic break helped the duo to properly record the twelve covers that they have just published.
The duo made up of Anita LadyFingers (Voice, Moog and Korg MS-20 synthesizers, electronic percussion) and Ina Herr Professor (Gibson SG Guitar, Roland TR707, Moog Bass, Sequencer, Occasional Voice) has adapted some of their most popular songs into Spanish and even to Basque, with even axkolari blows instead of the classic whipper lashes. The artwork has been made by Estudio Perkins, continues with the musical line, and even includes an insert with cut-outs and other paraphernalia just like those from Ohio did on their albums.
