Willi Orban breaks the next mark!

On the way to becoming a legend: Willi Orban with 300th game for RBL!

He went by his Anniversary against the Madrilenians ahead, was named “Man of the Match” by UEFA after the game and headed the ball in for a 1-1 draw.

Our head of defense has been at RB Leipzig since 2015 and has been a defining face of the club for many years. The Palatinate native moved from his youth club over eight and a half years ago 1. FC Kaiserslautern to the trade fair city.

Willi follows suit Yussuf Poulsen (391 missions) and Emil Forsberg (325) the third Leipzig bullwho has appeared in at least 300 games.

Willi played his first game for the Red Bulls on July 25, 2015 in a 1-0 win against FSV Frankfurt in the 2nd Bundesliga. 300 games later, the 30-year-old can look back on a success story: Bundesliga promotion, two wins in the DFB Cup, Supercup title and overall qualified for the Champions League six times.

In August of this year Willi got his Contract until 2027 extended. “I’ve long since become at home in Leipzig and feel incredibly comfortable here. It’s a great city with great fans and people. It’s something unique to play for RB Leipzig because we can create something ourselves here.”
